With 185 licensed wineries currently, the Okanagan Valley is home to over 80% of all vineyards in BC! And for good reason, too! The climate in the region brings hot summers that extend into fall, beautiful spring days that feel like summer and mild winters. This makes a perfect climate recipe for delicious wine! It’s no wonder that Okanagan wine is consistently ranked among the worlds best at international competitions.
Kelowna alone boasts over 40 wineries. Within minutes, you can travel from the modern, lakeside city to beautiful, rolling hills with vineyards, orchards and farms. Taking a wine tour is a great way to spend a day exploring the scenic views and enjoying exceptional wines. One of my favourite spots to enjoy great wine, music and sunshine is Ancient Hill Winery (see pictures below)!
